Website Analyser FAQ's

What is a website analyser?

A website technology analyzer scans a website to identify the software and services it appears to use. This can include the CMS, plugins, themes, page builders, analytics tools, hosting technology and other third-party platforms.

How can I find out what CMS a website uses?

Enter the website URL into the analyzer. The tool will check for technical signals that may reveal whether the site uses WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or another content management system.

Can I see which WordPress plugins a website is using?

We can, but it’s not included in the audit itself. We’ll give you a prioritized plan to fix it yourself or you can pay us to clean up the mess.

Can a website analyzer identify the theme or page builder?

The tool may detect themes and page builders such as Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or other website-building software when recognisable code or assets are publicly visible.

What website information can the tool detect?

Depending on the website, the analyzer may identify the CMS, plugins, theme, page builder, analytics software, hosting provider, server technology and IP address. Results vary because not every website exposes the same information.
